Hair Loss

Hair loss can be due to a number of different factors.

Hair loss can be caused by a number of factors, affecting your entire body or in many cases just your scalp. Whether hereditary, due to stress, shifts in hormone levels or as a result of an illness, while losing your hair isn’t something that you need to be concerned about from a medical point of view, it can affect a person’s self confidence day-to-day.

Hereditary hair loss is one of the most common causes of baldness, and while for some people it might make sense to let their hair loss happen naturally, many others will want to seek ways to help stop further loss. Although short-term solutions like different hairstyles or hair makeup can temporarily cover the effects of thinning hair, to prevent hair loss and encourage new growth there are a number of hair loss treatments available.

Yet, with so many potential causes of hair loss, it can be difficult to know the best way to treat it. Here, we’ll go through some of the most common causes of hair loss and the best treatment options for you.

Hair Loss Causes

The average person loses roughly 50-100 hairs per day, though as we are constantly producing new hairs this doesn’t tend to result in visible thinning. Instead, hair loss happens when there’s a break in the sequence of shedding and regrowth or when a hair follicle is permanently damaged.

Hair Loss Treatments

If hair thinning and balding is causing you concern, there are certain hair loss treatments that offer affordable and clinically proven hair loss treatments for men and women, including:

Hair Transplant Surgery

FUE

Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is a newer, more advanced hair transplant procedure. Our most popular surgery option, FUE is often preferred by clients because it leaves minimal to no scarring. In FUE, hair follicles are individually harvested from the patient’s donor section and relocated to the hair transplant area using a special microsurgery technique. New hairs will start growing roughly five months after surgery, with this continuing to grow for up to 18 months.
